I used PSP X2 on this tutorial but any older version will work too.

What you will need for this tutorial.

 A scrap set..

(I used the beautiful set of Doreen Stolz at)

Elemental Scraps

The tube I used is Suzanne Woolcott's.

You can get her tubes and license HERE

Plugins needed... Xenofex 2 *constellation*

My supplies include the base PSPIMAGE with saved alpha channels

1. Open all your papers and elements you're planning to use for your tag here...

2. Unzip the WNbase.pspimage  that was in the supplies zip.. it looks blank.. but there are some alpha channels saved on it.

3.  Fill the raster 1 layer with white... then ADD a NEW Raster Layer.

4. Selections/Load-Save selection/ load selection from alpha channel. Choose WN1 Load. Your canvas should look like below.

5. Fill with one of your bkg papers that you previously selected. Apply an Inner Bevel using these settings below.

6. Also a 3D drop shadow

7. Copy and paste your bkg paper below all layers except the white bkg layer. Use your PICK tool   it will put a deformation box around your bkg paper if your on the right layer.. use the center handle and rotate the paper either to the left or right... Copy and paste a second bkg paper below this paper and use pick tool to do the same thing except turn it in opposite direction.  This second bkg paper is not shown.. below.

8. Use what ever elements you would like.. to 'decorate' your tag... let your imagination soar here.. this is something that can't be taught.. you just have to develop this ability by doing many many designs.  Make sure you put every element on its own layer.. and also don't forget to rename your layers on the layer palette... this way it wont be so confusing... In the above picture I show the black star bkg already there.. but really its not time yet... to put it in there..

9. Above.. I show that I cut the ends off of the raffia bow and added some star elements between the layers.. I put a 3D drop shadow on the Gorjuss girl.. with white.. cause of her black hair and the black starry bkg.. Settings below.

10. Once you get all the elements added and placed on your graphic *don't forget 3D shadows*

Figure out which ones are to be merged together... were going to add a new layer.. for the black starry bkg... every thing on TOP of that.. will be merged...... every thing BELOW that will be merged... then you add a new layer BETWEEN the two...See the captures of the layer palettes below.. first one shows the top layers that are merged visible... then next one.. shows the bottom layers merged visible...when you have that new layer added between the two merged layers... go to Selections and load the alpha channel like you did before.. this time.. the WN2. it should be a circle.. FILL with black.. make SURE this is on its own layer!!!

11. Ok now you should have 3 layers on your layer palette...  #1 the top elements...that includes the round frame.. tube.. and elements used...#2 the black round circle.. #3 the 2 paper bkgs... the white bkgs.. stars if you used those... and any other elements you decorated with...

12.  Duplicate the black circle layer now.. 2 times.. where you end up with 3 layers of it... on EACH of the layers.. use Xenofex 2 Constellation with #2 and #3 layer.. same settings but just click the random seed button...with each.

13. Your layer palette should look like this one.. now X out 2 of the black round bkgs... leave the 2 merged layers and one of the black round bkgs.. un hid. go to the top of the canvas window and right click and COPY MERGE  go to your animation shop and right click as a new animation..

Now hide the black round bkg.. that you had showing and UN hide another one.. right click on top.. and COPY MERGE again.. go to your animation shop and right click on the new animation were building.. and paste behind currant frame... Back to PSP and now Hide the black round bkg that's showing and UNHIDE the last one..  right click COPY MERGE... back to Animation Shop and right click on frame and paste behind current frame... you should have three frames there now.. check your animation... to see if it looks alright. Always do that before you send it in email to where ever.. don't want it to have a mistake and you  not notice but every one else does..

Save it as a GIF... use the setting.. of 255 colors.. and Optimized Median Cut..

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial.. till the next one..
